Shopify changes to Carrier Calculated Shipping (CCS) Plan Eligibility

Shopify changes to Carrier Calculated Shipping (CCS) Plan Eligibility
Shopify has announced from Jan 1st 2023, Merchants on Starter and Basic plans will no longer be able to add Carrier Calculated Shipping (CCS) to their plans either by transitioning to annual billing, or paying the additional monthly fee.

What does this mean for you?
Merchants who are already on Starter and Basic with CCS enabled will be grandfathered and require no further actions, you can still change your billing cycle and retain CCS on your plan.

Merchants who change to a Starter or Basic plan either by upgrading or downgrading will lose access.

What if I need to change plans?
If you plan to change to a Starter or Basic plan next year, we would advise you to do this now otherwise you will lose access to all 3rd party shipping apps as CCS is a Shopify requirement to use them.
  • Starter – No CCS
  • Basic – No CCS
  • Shopify- Option to add CCS via annual billing or additional fee
  • Advanced – CCS included
  • PLUS – CCS included
